Inverurie was a very enjoyable concert with a big appreciative audience. We thank them for a splendid meal before the concert where we got to meet and chat to three of their board who were really lovely people who care deeply about the area. A lovely big audience in a lovely church which the society had rigged with lights just for us! Very kind people and even the weather was with us! Here is part of the publicity they used  to entice the audience in!

An evening of music arranged for brass instruments from composers ranging from Henry VIII to Paul McCartney and including A Little Fugue by J S Bach and Suite from Carmen by Bizet. Brass Tracks is one of Scotland’s most exciting and engaging brass quintets. Based in central Scotland, Brass Tracks is dedicated to making all music accessible, whether it be 500 years old or something a little more contemporary.

Dr Phillip Cooke wrote: “Brass Tracks began with a brass fanfare to a large audience ready for some festivities. And this is what they got! The brass quintet, brought a varied programme of popular pieces that had more than a whiff of ‘Last Night of the Proms’ to it, as folk tunes and hits from the musicals rubbed shoulders with some more earnest offerings in an enjoyable night in the Garioch”
